Are Good Penny Stocks Hard To Find?

Penny stocks are some of the most fascinating investment vehicles in the world. You can literally buy thousands of shares and potentially triple or even quadruple your money in a matter of months — if not weeks or even days! The challenge is finding good penny stocks that are worth the risk. I’m always being asked if good penny stocks are hard to find. Let’s talk about this in more detail. I really think there are a lot of myths surrounding the issue.

First of all, a penny stocks value will ultimately be a reflection (to a greater or lesser extent) of the relative merits of the underlying company. I’ll be the first to admit that there are a lot of somewhat dubious companies out there that try to pass themselves off as being legitimate despite suffering from a myriad of account and management problems. The only way you’ll ever really know for sure if a company is playing fast-and-loose with the truth is by doing proper research. That’s going to be the best way to figure out if a penny stock is good or not.

While it’s somewhat beyond the scope of what we’re talking about here to get into a detailed analysis of how you should go about researching a company’s fundamental health, suffice it to say that you are always going to want to focus your attention on penny stocks that are required to publish audited financial statements. Investing in any other kind of company is completely reckless. Think about it logically. Why would you ever want to invest money in a stock whose financial statements are unknown or hidden? The secret to finding a good penny stock is to start by culling your list of potential investments and focusing on those stocks that are required by the exchange they trade on to publish audited financial statements.

In summary, you have a wonderful opportunity in front of you as an investor if you decide to pursue penny stock investing. Be sensible about the company’s you choose to invest in and always stick to penny stocks that trade on exchanges that require audited financial statements.
